Each athlete's family will handle a shift at scribe or gatekeeper at one or more District meets.

The Scribe records the judges scores and comments on the athlete's score sheet. Scribes should refrain from sharing their opinions of athlete performances with the judge and attempt to record the judge's comments verbatim. Scribes need to have legible penmenship and reasonable spelling skills.

Gatekeepers check-in athletes to an event per the judges instructions, keeping a constant flow of athletes in order to keep the class on schedule.
